What is PGH technology?

Let’s take a look at the concept of chromosome translocation. It is a kind of common chromosomal structural abnormality, and its frequency is about 1-2/2000 in newborns. Patients themselves have no abnormal clinical manifestations, but their gametes(sperm or egg)in the process of meiosis will transfer unbalanced chromosome to the offspring, resulting in repeated abortion, arrested fetal development,or even give birth to mentally retarded or deformed children! In theory, 16/18 of the gametes produced are abnormal,1/18 are carrier gametes, and only 1/18 are completely normal gametes. Chromosomal balanced translocation patients often experience multiple embryo stop, abortion, may still not be able to obtain a healthy baby!


At present, conventional PGT-A technology cannot distinguish normal embryos from translocation carrying embryos. Ms.Jiang only had one biochemical pregnancy since they got married three years ago.
